BACKDRAFT SHUTTERS - TYPE AS
AS type units are airstream-operated shutters that are designed
for surface mounting. Approximately 10Pa pressure is only
required to fully open the blades. These shutters are
weather-resistant, making them suitable for both internal and
external applications.

Moulded in impact-resistant UV-stabilised plastic.

All AS units have a galvanised wire mesh guard fitted.
O
Units are screw fixing and suitable for mounting on vertical
surfaces and generally used for exhaust applications.
O
Finished in a Traffic White frame and grey flaps.

Air flow tests based on ISO5801:2007

used with other fan types or over openings having dimensions
that generally conform to dimension C in the dimensions table.

The air-operated shutters shall be of AS series as supplied by
Fantech.
They shall be of low resistance design and have a pressure
drop of approximately 10Pa.
Grilles shall be tested to ISO5801:2007
Select the shutter to suit the dimensions of the fan selected or
the wall opening dimensions.
