Description
The Series 1 range of Filtered Supply Units meets the modern demands of the telecommunications and electronic industries. This range supplies clean filtered air which provides protection for sensitive electronic equipment of mobile telephone networks, or general communications buildings, switchrooms, computer rooms or similar.
Construction
Galvanised steel housing, finished in ‘off-white’ powder coat as standard.
Integral all-steel weatherproof inlet grille.
PVC non-return dampers to prevent unwanted air flow.
Motors
Type - external rotor, squirrel cage induction motor.
Electricity supply - 220-240V, single-phase, 50/60Hz.
Bearings - sealed-for-life, ball.
Speed-controllable.
Internal Thermal Protection
Auto-reset type fitted as standard on all units.
Filter Performance
Disposable filter media is used with a performance classification of G4 as tested in accordance with AS1324.2-2001 and rated as per AS1324.1-2001. These ratings are equivalent to the Eurovent 4/5 classification for filters as outlined in EN779.
Filter access is via a side-mounted access panel.
Testing
Tests to BS848:Part 1, 1980 with clean filters.
Room pressurisation levels will be governed by the size of the available wall openings for air relief.
Installation
Designed to mount flush with the inside wall. Four mounting holes in the flange are provided to secure the unit to the wall. Fasteners by others
Suggested Specification
The Filtered Supply Units shall be of the FSU series fitted with AC motors and supplied by Fantech Pty. Ltd. The units shall incorporate an axial flow fan, disposable filter media and non-return dampers in a galvanised steel housing with†off-whit? powder coat finish. The filters shall be easily accessible via the side-mounted access panel.
Performance data shall be based on tests conducted to BS848:Part 1, 1980 and BS848:Part 2, 1985 for air flow and noise respectively.
